The Police and Fire Commission is comprised of five citizen Commissioners appointed by the Village President. Each year, one person is selected to serve for a five-year term. The Commission is governed by Wisconsin Statute 62.13 which provides them the authority to oversee Police and Fire Department personnel matters. The Commission is also responsible for reviewing department discipline and citizen complaints against department personnel. This helps ensure the department's dedication to providing law enforcement excellence to the community. The Commission reviews the department's compliance with standards required by the Wisconsin Law Enforcement Accreditation Group (WILEAG) and helps to ensure the department's dedication to providing law enforcement excellence to the community.
