The Menomonee Falls Police Department is proud of the cooperative effort between our residents, visitors and businesses that assist our agency on a daily basis in identifying and prosecuting those who commit crimes. This new initiative is to continue and expand that cooperation and partnership.
One of the largest impacts for identifying and apprehending criminals has been the use of video surveillance footage that many businesses and residences currently use and provide to our department on almost a daily basis.
Many times the suspects are captured on video by neighboring residences or businesses who may not have been the target of the suspects. This critical footage has been helpful in solving many different kinds of cases that can be seen nightly on the news.
If you currently have a video surveillance system we would like to hear from you!
How does it Work?
We are asking residents and businesses to register their surveillance camera systems with our department. The registration process is on-line and it will ask for some basic contact information.
When officers or detectives are investigating an incident nearby they may contact you to determine if you may have video recordings of the suspects or vehicles that may have been used in the commission of a crime or other incident that is being investigated. This will allow us to partner with the citizens to ensure quick identification and apprehension of identified suspects.
