2026 Election Schedule
- February 17, 2026:Spring Primary Election
- For residents in the Hamilton School District Only. If unsure if you live in the Hamilton School District, you can look up your voter information at MyVote Wisconsin and view your elected officials to see if you are represented by Hamilton School District (Wards 17, part of 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, part of 23 and part of 25).
- April 7, 2026: Spring Election
- August 11, 2026: Partisan Primary Election
- November 3, 2026: General Election
The polls are open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Election Types
- Spring Primary Election: A non-partisan primary held on the third Tuesday in February to nominate candidates who will appear on the ballot at the Spring Election.
- Spring Election: Held on the first Tuesday in April for positions such as Court of Appeals Judge, Circuit Court Judge, County Nonpartisan Offices, Municipal Offices, School District Offices, and referenda (if necessary). In Presidential years, it also serves to express preference for the person to be the Presidential candidate for each party.
- Partisan Primary Election: Held on the second Tuesday in August to nominate candidates for the General Election and referenda (if applicable).
- General Election: Held in even-numbered years on the Tuesday after the first Monday in November to elect United States senators, representatives to congress, presidential electors, state senators, representatives to the assembly, district attorneys, state officers other than the state superintendent and judicial officers, and county officers other than supervisors and county executives.
