Night Parking
No Street Parking
Parking for over 30 minutes on any public street or public parking lot is prohibited between the hours of 2 a.m. and 6 a.m.
These parking restrictions are in effect every day of the year except on the mornings of New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
Night Parking Permits
Applications for street parking must be completed at the Police Department business office.
Once the application is approved, there is a monthly fee. This permit can be renewed monthly by going to the Police Department and paying the fee. All permits begin on the first day of the month and end on the last day of the month.
Cars parked on Village streets overnight (having permission or permit) must adhere to the overnight parking regulations:
- The date used is the date prior to midnight
- Even numbered days - park on the even numbered side of the street
- Odd numbered days - park on the odd numbered side of the street
- Temporary overnight parking is available on occasion to accommodate guests or other short term situations, you may obtain parking permission for the evening by calling the police department business office (262)532-8700. Vehicle make, license plate number, and parking location will need to be disclosed. The odd / even rules as explained above apply. Permission will be granted for a period of no more than three nights in a calendar month. Nightly parking permission is monitored. If abuse is detected (more than three instances in a calendar month), overnight parking will be denied and a permit will be required
Ineligible vehicles: Motor trucks over 8,000 GVW, motor buses, motorcycles, motor delivery wagons, trailers, semitrailers, cabin trailers, tractors, motor homes and recreational dwellings shall not be eligible for special privilege parking permits. Night Parking Ordinance
Severe Winter Storm
On occasion when severe winter storms occur and snow removal is priority, the Village will restrict parking permission. During a snow emergency no vehicle may be parked on any street, alley or highway, except for the loading / unloading of persons or property. Any vehicle in violation of this restriction may be towed at the owner’s expense.
Temporary Parking Permits
For long term projects such as driveway repair or extended visitors, a temporary parking permit may be obtained for up to two weeks at the Police Department at no charge.
