Bicycle Registration

Bicycle Registration

The Village of Menomonee Falls requires residents who operate a bicycle with wheels in excess of 14 inches in diameter register the bicycle with the police department. All bicycle registrations shall be issued for a period of five years, commencing on January 1 and expiring on December 31 of every succeeding fifth year.

Registration can be accomplished by completing the Online Bicycle Registration, or through the completion and submission of a Printable Registration (PDF), which can be mailed to or dropped off at the police department during normal business hours.

Required Information

The adult owner of the bicycle, or the parent or guardian of a child registering a bicycle, must provide current address, phone, and email address (if pertinent).

Bicycles will be identified by manufacturer, model, size, color, serial number and other descriptive information.

Serial Number Certification

Submission of a registration request is a certification that the serial number is accurate, an "owner applied number" is stamped on the bike in the absence of a serial number, the bicycle is equipped with a red reflector visible from the rear, and the bicycle has adequate brakes (Section 106-204).

The uploading of a photo of the bicycle is optional. No fee is charged for registration and no license is issued for placement on the bicycle. For questions or additional information email the Police Department or call 262-532-8700.
