Welcome to the Village of Menomonee Falls Municipal Court website. I hope that you will find the information to be useful. Our municipal court is located in the Village Hall at W156N8480 Pilgrim Road, Menomonee Falls, WI 53051.
The Village of Menomonee Falls Municipal Court has jurisdiction in all matters involving violations of the Village's ordinances. An ordinance violation is classified as a civil offense, not a criminal offense.
Every person issued an ordinance violation has certain legal rights and responsibilities, including the right to be heard. You are entitled to be represented by an attorney, although the court does not appoint an attorney for you and the Village does not pay your attorney fees and expenses. Please be advised that Interpreters are not available for Initial Appearances or Pretrial conferences. If necessary, please bring someone who can interpret for you.
Juveniles (age 10 to 16) who appear must be accompanied by a parent/guardian as instructed on your citation.
If you are found guilty in municipal court, the court typically imposes a money forfeiture. You are expected to pay the forfeiture when you make your initial appearance in court. However, if you need more time, the court may grant you 60 days to pay.
The Village of Menomonee Falls Municipal Court attempts to provide an environment that is fair to both the defendant and prosecution. Hopefully, your experience in court will be a positive experience.
Thank you, Judge Matthiesen
