Responsibilities

The Street Maintenance Department is responsible for maintaining approximately 239 miles of Village streets. These responsibilities include:

• Leaf collection
• Pavement marking and repair
• Snow/ice control

• Spring brush pickup
• Storm drainage
• Street sweeping
• Street light repair
  • Report a street light problem
• Traffic signal and street sign repair
  • Report a traffic signal problem

Mission Statement

Services are provided by a dedicated staff of Public Works employees with the cooperation of all Village departments. The department is responsible for maintaining traffic signals, street lighting, storm drainage, road pavements, pavement markings, and snow and ice control.
