Bulk Trash Disposal
Bulk Trash Collection: Items that do not fit in your cart, are over 4ft. in length or weighing over 60 lbs
Starting in 2020, Waste Management will conduct a bulk trash Collection Week for up to two bulk items placed at the curbside for pickup free of charge. This will occur the first full week of May (week of May 4th). Residents looking to utilize this service need to notify Waste Management seven days in advance about their items for pick-up. Also beginning in 2020, Waste Management will conduct an annual bulk trash Drop-Off Event (up to four large bulk items) once a year occurring the first Saturday of October, from 8:00 am to noon at the Waste Management Hauling Site (W124N8925 Boundary Road). This one-time Drop-Off event will be free for residents. View the Annual Bulk Item Drop-Off Event flyer for more information.
Bulk trash for pick-up, not falling within the special trash Collection Week, must be scheduled with Waste Management seven days in advance and residents will be billed at a rate of $25. To schedule a bulk trash pick-up, residents are asked to contact Waste Management directly at least 3 days before your normal garbage collection day at 888-960-0008 or visit their website.
Bulk trash pick-up does not include yard waste, tires or electronics (TV’s, computers, etc.). Some bulk items include:
- Household Furnishings
- Mattresses & Box Springs
- Grills (No Propane Bottles)
- Carpeting – Rolls that are no longer than 4 feet in length and 2 feet in diameter
