Water Star Wisconsin

On December 2, 2010, the Village of Menomonee Falls received notification that our application to the Water Star Wisconsin program has awarded the village the Bronze Water Star for Water Quality. Menomonee Falls is the sixteenth community that has been awarded a Water Star in the first year of the program.

This award shows the Village’s extensive and far reaching commitment to our water resources. The village has the distinct honor of being one of the first Water Star Communities in the state.

On December 20th, 2010 Village Board Meeting, Suzanne Wade of the Water Star Wisconsin Program presented the trustees with our Bronze Star aluminum street sign and designation plaque. The bronze designation is for a maximum of three years. At such time, the village will apply again with the hopes of achieving an even better status of silver or gold.

Community Effor

This effort has been only achieved by the participation of many residents and groups. Thank you for those who have volunteered their time to improving our stormwater quality and participated in our stormwater outreach programs. Watch for continued improvement efforts within the community to help improve the water quality of our rivers and ponds in Menomonee Falls.
