Overview

The SSU has a variety of functions, all of which support department operations. These functions include, but are not limited to:

• Administering the Department's Police Aide Program
• Department property
• Department quartermaster
• Fleet maintenance
• Grant writing
• Liaison with the Waukesha County District Attorney's office
• Management of the municipal lock-up facility
• Municipal court liaison
• Recruitment of department members
• Technical services
• Training and development of department members
