Protecting Your Child

What you can do to protect your children

  • Learn more about computers.
  • Talk to your kids about their use of the computer and the dangers online.
  • Be involved with your kids in using the computer. This is a great opportunity to spend time with your child.
  • Keep the computer in a common area of your home. Virtually every case where children were involved in computer crimes or were victims of abuse on the computer, computers were located in the children's room.
  • Understand acronyms used by kids to communicate.

If you have any questions regarding computer abuse or computer crimes involving your children, please contact the Special Investigations Bureau by email or call 262-446-5070 to request to speak with an officer.
