For year round drug disposal, put in a baggie with used wet coffee grounds, crush and put in garbage.
Used needles can be taken to the Community Memorial Hospital Emergency Room for no charge. The needles must be in a sealed thick plastic container such as a bleach or laundry detergent bottle. The container must not allow the needle to poke through.
Most local pharmacies also accept needles. Call your local pharmacy for details of required containers and charges.
