She’s sweet, she’s fluffy, and she can’t wait to read together! Young readers are invited to read to Bailey at the Library. Bring a book from home or choose one right here in the Library. Bailey loves all kinds of books, so you're sure to find one she will enjoy.
Is your reader hesitant to read out loud? Bailey is the perfect listener and companion. Your reader will build confidence and make a furry friend!
This program is best suited for readers ages 5 to 12. Bailey is a certified therapy dog and a member of the Alliance of Therapy Dogs. She is accompanied by her (human) teammate, Sue, who also loves working with children and listening to stories.
Advance registration is required. Please stop by the Children's Desk or call 262-532-8915 to register your reader for a 20-minute time slot. A waitlist will be available if registration fills.
Enjoy tea and treats provided by the Menomonee Falls Library Friends while discussing a fiction book.
This month, we are discussing In Five Years by Rebecca Serle. “Where do you see yourself in five years?” When Type-A Manhattan lawyer Dannie Kohan is asked this question at the most important interview of her career, she has a meticulously crafted answer at the ready. Later, after nailing her interview and accepting her boyfriend's marriage proposal, Dannie goes to sleep knowing she is right on track to achieve her five-year plan. But when she wakes up, she’s suddenly in a different apartment, with a different ring on her finger, and beside a very different man.
Copies of In Five Years will be available at the second floor desk starting on Friday, May 12, but you may also request the book in your preferred format online at www.cafelibraries.org.
