As a service to our residents, the Village of Menomonee Falls Public Works Department provides street side pick-up of discarded Natural Christmas Trees.
As time and workloads permit, Public Works employees will be sent through the Village to pick-up discarded Christmas trees placed at the edge of the street or curb.
Discarded Christmas Trees must be clean of all decorations, lights, stands, tinsel, garland, wire, plastic bags, etc. Discarded Christmas trees are chipped by the Village and recycled as mulch and/or compost.
In order to be eligible for pick-up by the Village, all discarded natural Christmas Trees must be placed along the edge of the street or curb no later than Sunday, January 23, 2011.
Christmas wreaths are not eligible for pick-up under this program. Due to steel frames, wire and other contaminants, Christmas wreaths must be disposed of along with your regular trash.
Waste Management will not pick-up discarded Christmas trees as part of the weekly garbage collection.
Thank you for your assistance in this Christmas Tree collection program.
