Station 1, located in the historic village, was constructed in 1929 as a village hall housing the police and fire departments, public works, library, and village offices.

In 1966, a new village hall was constructed and the building was turned over to the Fire Department.

Today, this Station is home to two engines, a tanker, and an ambulance, among others. Station 1 is also the busiest station, responding to over 1,000 calls in 2005.
