Open Burning Ordinance Change

A change to the Village of Menomonee Falls Open Burning ordinance will take effect on 07-19-17 following passage by the Village Board last night.  The only change to Section 46.58 Open Burning is in the elimination of permission being required; permission is no longer required for open burning.  All other restrictions, including location, size, material, distance from a structure, attendance / maintaining control and nuisance or safety hazard pertaining to open burning still apply.  The Director of Protective Services (or her designee) retains the authority to prohibit or impose conditions on any and all burning when weather conditions or other circumstances make such fires hazardous.
