The Village provides 1,497 acres of park and open space for recreational use while preserving over 3,750 acres in environmental corridors. The Village is home to several major employers, a growing shopping and dining scene, a historic downtown and a wide variety of housing choices. Most of the eastern portion of the Village is developed in higher intensity uses like housing and commerce, but roughly ten square miles of land west of the subcontinental divide (the line which bisects the Village into the Mississippi River and Great Lakes watersheds) remains undeveloped.

Located in the northeastern corner of Waukesha County along the Interstate 41/US 45 corridor, The Falls is an easy drive to the scenic beauty of the Kettle Moraine area and the energy of Miller Park. The Village's growing population was estimated at 36,907 in 2016 making Menomonee Falls the fourth most populated community in Waukesha County. The Village consistently ranks among the Wisconsin leaders in new housing starts and average new home valuation, and by 2035, the Village is projected to gain more than 5,250 additional residents. All of these factors point to the high quality of life that village residents have known and come to expect.
